At Festival of Cinema, Over the Threshold (12 min) competed against full length feature films.

It is Devon and Clarissa’s wedding night. The two of them were raised in strict Christian households, and have abstained from sex for their entire lives. In a night that represents the culmination of their repression, Devon is gung-ho and rarin’ to go whereas his new wife Clarissa has trouble letting go of the psychological repercussions of years of abstinence. It’s a story based in truth for many people; a truth that too many are afraid to talk about.
